SEA Brew Gives Back to Thailand through Habitat for Humanity

The SEA Brew conference was born out of a desire to build a platform for Asia’s brewing industry to gather and exchange ideas on how to better their craft and meet others looking to achieve the same. We’ve been doing this successfully for 5 years.

We believe it’s time to start giving something back to our host countries.

Starting this year, SEA Brew will host a charity event as part of our conference social programme to raise funds for a worthy cause. For 2019, given our host city is Bangkok, we’ve chosen Habitat for Humanity Thailand.

HfH Thailand

Established in 1998, Habitat for Humanity works tirelessly to improve the quality of life for Thai’s through building homes and transforming communities. It works with like-minded partners to achieve a lasting, positive impact through holistic development and sustainable change.

Habitat Thailand has partnered with 11,500 families (over 46,000 people) to build, repair and rehabilitate their homes.

With a goal of raising USD18,000 for the construction of 2 family homes in rural Thailand, SEA Brew will be hosting a fundraising event at the conclusion of the conference, Friday 27 September (6:30-8:30pm). In addition, we’ll be looking for volunteers to join us in Thailand later in 2019 for the actual construction of the homes.

Request for Beer Donations

The venue cost for staging this event will be funded by Seabrew Ventures, the organizers of the annual SEA Brew Conference, and we are appealing to the brewing community to help us by donating beer to be served at the fundraiser.

All proceeds from this event and building coordination will be handled directly by Habitat for Humanity Thailand.

We look forward to this event becoming a yearly feature of SEA Brew and to working with our partners in the region’s brewing industry to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
